Excitement is building at The Kallang as we prepare to kick off a high-octane weekend of sport, entertainment and community experiences at the “Family SVNS”.
KICKING OFF HSBC SVNS SINGAPORE, A STAPLE ON THE CIRCUIT
The Kallang Group earlier today officially launched HSBC SVNS Singapore 2026, bringing together rugby, sport and entertainment stakeholders. At the launch event held at Conrad Singapore Marina Bay, leaders from The Kallang Group, World Rugby and Singapore Rugby Union discussed the growth of rugby sevens in the region, Singapore’s position on the global HSBC SVNS circuit amidst the new tournament format and teased what fans can expect on and off the pitch.
This year’s Singapore draw sets the stage for a series of blockbuster match-ups, with traditional powerhouses and fast-rising teams crossing paths early in the tournament. 2025 men’s champions South Africa clash with HSBC SVNS Singapore 2025 winners Fiji, while New Zealand, the reigning women’s HSBC SVNS Singapore champions, face strong opponents France, Canada and Great Britain, hinting at prospective upsets.
Sam Pinder, HSBC SVNS General Manager, World Rugby commented: “With two thrilling rounds already setting the tone this season, HSBC SVNS Singapore is set to deliver another unforgettable chapter. Fans can expect an action-packed match schedule featuring the world’s best rugby sevens teams, fast-paced encounters and high-stakes moments. We’re excited to welcome the SVNS series back to Singapore and showcase the electric rugby sevens atmosphere.”
“HSBC SVNS is one of the most dynamic sporting events in the world,” said Yazed Osman, Group Head, Events & Placemaking and Place Management, The Kallang Group. “Singapore has long been a place where the energy of rugby truly comes alive on and off the pitch, and The Kallang is proud to once again host a SVNS tournament weekend that goes beyond the matches. As our first major sporting event under our new brand identity, this tournament embodies our vision to be the region's leading destination for sport, entertainment, lifestyle and community events. Whether you are here for the rugby, the atmosphere or the shared festivities with family and friends, this is where memories are made.”
